Meet Carolyn
As the Founding Attorney of Athena Legal Solutions, I’m dedicated to empowering visionary women in navigating the complexities of business and law. With extensive experience advising large corporations on risk management and asset protection, I now focus on providing tailored solutions to help clients achieve their goals. At Athena Legal Solutions, we are more than just an attorney; we become an integral part of your team, helping you to anticipate legal needs and strategize for long-term success. With a background solely in in-house counsel roles, I offer a pragmatic perspective that aligns legal strategies with broader business objectives. Through proactive counsel and strategic guidance, my team and I enable organizations to navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and achieve sustainable success in an ever-evolving business landscape.
Meet Sarah
I’m originally from Appleton, WI, and graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2015. I currently reside in Menasha, WI, with my husband and our one-year-old son. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing with my son, baking, and camping.
I joined Athena Legal Solutions because I strongly believe in its Mission and Vision. My goal is to be a trusted legal partner for business owners, supporting them in starting their dreams and leaving lasting legacies. My background in customer service and legal assistance for business owners has equipped me with the skills needed to understand and meet the needs of businesses, helping individuals achieve their business goals.
In my practice, I assist individuals with various aspects of business law and nonprofit law. This includes registering their business or nonprofit with the state, drafting operating agreements or bylaws, obtaining necessary permits and tax numbers, and filing for tax-exempt status if needed. I also recognize the importance of ongoing protection for businesses, helping owners safeguard their brands through trademark and copyright registration. Additionally, I support business owners and nonprofit leaders by drafting contracts—whether they are employment, vendor, or sales contracts—to ensure their businesses are protected in all outcomes.
I am here to collaborate with business owners and nonprofit leaders, providing them with the resources they need to focus on operating their businesses without worrying about legal issues.
Meet Kathy
Kathy brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record in contract law, dispute resolution, legal research, and legal writing. She serves as an independent arbitrator for FairClaims.com, where she has successfully arbitrated and resolved over 450 disputes, primarily involving contract disputes. In addition to serving as an arbitrator, Kathy’s legal career includes experience in corporate law, litigation, intellectual property, employment law, and legal research and writing. She recently started her own business, Admissions Advocate, LLC, where she assists students through every step of the college admissions process. Kathy received a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from Indiana University Bloomington and her law degree from DePaul University.
In her spare time, Kathy is active with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) of Illinois, where she is an essay grader for the LLS Scholarship for Blood Cancer Survivors and serves as the Chairman of the Leadership Committee for the Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. On a personal note, Kathy and her husband, Jim, reside in Frankfort, Illinois, with their three children, Joey, Emily, and Jimmy.

Meet Lauren
Lauren brings warmth, organization, and a client-first mindset to Athena Legal Solutions. As the Client Experience Manager, she is often one of the first people clients connect with and is dedicated to ensuring every interaction is welcoming, seamless, and supportive. Lauren understands that legal matters can feel overwhelming, and she takes pride in helping clients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their experience with Athena.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Lauren earned her degree from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. Her strong communication skills, attention to detail, and genuine passion for helping others allow her to build meaningful relationships with both clients and colleagues.
Lauren’s role focuses on creating an exceptional client experience from the first conversation through project completion. Whether she is coordinating matters behind the scenes, answering questions, or helping clients navigate next steps, her goal is to ensure every client feels supported and confident throughout their journey with Athena.
Outside of the office, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family and embracing her most important role—mom. As a soon-to-be mom of two, she understands firsthand the importance of planning for the future and protecting what matters most. When she isn’t supporting clients, you’ll find her making memories with family and friends and enjoying all that Wisconsin has to offer.
